Red Alert issued in Kerala

On the wake of a strong monsoon, IMD has issued red alert in Kerala. With monsoon preparing to hit Kerala coast within two days, the IMD has alerted a heavy rain from June 7th till June 11th. While ‘Red Alert’ has been issued across in Thrissur on June 10th, IMD has alerted the same in the districts of Ernakulam, Malappuram and Kozhikode on June 11th as well.

Meanwhile, in Lakshadweep, ‘Red Alert’ has been issued on both June 9th and 10th. Apart from ‘Red Alerts’, the Meteorological Department has also issued ‘Yellow – Orange Alerts’ across the state.
